Hovertap™ MD represents a significant advancement in touchless technology within the surgical field, offering a seamless and efficient way for surgeons to interact with monitors during critical procedures. From the project's inception, my focus was on creating an intuitive and user-friendly system that could be easily adopted, even when wearing surgical gloves.

Using a user-centered design approach, I began with low-fidelity prototyping to quickly test initial concepts and gather early-stage feedback. As the project progressed, we moved into mid and high-fidelity prototypes, refining interactions and ensuring that every gesture or command provided instant visual and haptic feedback.

Persona development was essential to understanding the unique needs of surgeons, allowing us to design with their workflows in mind. Through iterative design, we focused on reducing the cognitive load and minimizing clicks, ensuring that the system provided a smooth, accurate touchless experience.

Hovertap™ MD has evolved into a highly accessible solution, enabling surgeons to confidently interact with the system in a way that enhances efficiency and safety during surgeries. By integrating touchless gestures with real-time feedback, the system reduces the need for traditional scrubbing in and out, ensuring seamless navigation through complex surgical tasks.
